Dream Science Circus
The Dream Science Circus is an arbitrary collection of circus artists in Bellingham, WA. As a member of this circus, I volunteered to design the website. I worked directly with the Circus Manager, and with the help of aesthetically minded circus members, we now have this site.

Before I started working with it, the Dream Science Circus website was image based, it was created using Photoshop® and GoLive®. What they needed was something maintainable, professional and more compatible with google indexing. By using Web standards and semantic XHTML, they are now the first result when googling ‘Dream Science Circus’.
The site includes a custom CMS written in Ruby on Rails that allows the organizers to administrate the photo gallery, the list of upcoming events, and artist biographies. This allows them to update the site whenever they need. For the photo gallery, I heavily modified tableau, and added many features to its drag-and-drop interface.
The website also has another section devoted to Sleeping on the Ceiling, a full length circus production with a story, created by members of the Dream Science Circus. sleepingontheceiling.com includes a streaming flash video of the teaser and promotional material that I helped create.
